| The turbulence and complexity of present-day Iran and its relation to the West are evidenced in recent work by thirty-six artists, twenty-one residing in Iran and the remainder in diaspora. The exhibition ranges from traditionally informed paintings to video installations, and from stridently political images that address current events to lyrical and nostalgic references to peace and stability. Organized by Chelsea Art Museum - Home of the Miotte Foundation, New York. |
